We base our application development around the Microsoft platform, primarily utilising the industry standard and award winning Visual Studio with either SQL or Access back end database engines.

On suitable projects, we develop applications completely within the Microsoft Access environment, creating sophisticated software by using the power of the VBA programming language.

Microsoft Access is an incredibly versatile and powerful system which when coupled with the Microsoft VBA programming language, allows skilled system developers to offer organisations the ability to quickly develop and implement sophisticated, robust, and efficient applications.

The advantages of using Access and VBA are many but include:

• Rapid development tools mean a reduction in project delivery times and therefore costs
• Huge support network from the Microsoft Corporation and a myriad of third party support agencies
• Reduced system purchase and implementation costs (as you will probably already have the database engine, assuming you are running Microsoft Office Professional)
• Competitive market place for developers and consultants, which by default, will keep rates lower
• Integrates completely with other Microsoft office components including Excel, Word etc
• Completely scalable if the need arises, to other database engines such as Microsoft SQL. In this case, the Access front-end application can continue to be used, with the back end data being managed by Microsoft SQL, thus preserving a significant portion of the development investment

Computer Aided Design

Our main area of focus and expertise in the CAD development arena, is with Bentley Microstation and associated products, including PowerDraft, IRas raster editing and Iplot digital plot solutions.

Again we utilise the VBA programming language when developing bespoke solutions for the CAD environment.
